Preventive dentistry encompasses attending routine dental health examinations and hygienist appointments (even if you feel your smile is healthy!), as well as the breadth of treatments and techniques that aim to preserve the health of your smile. This includes restorative treatment like fillings and composite bonding, as well as hygiene cleaning and polishing to remove stubborn plaque and staining.

During your routine appointments with us, we will perform life saving mouth cancer screenings, for your peace of mind. As well as carrying out a thorough examination of your teeth and gums to identify any existing or developing problems (such as tooth wear, decay and signs of gum disease), we will offer you educational advice on how to be efficient with your brushing and flossing.

Whilst many patients brush for the recommended two minutes a day, twice a day, it can often be technique that’s letting them down. Learning to use your brush, floss and inter-dental brushes correctly can completely transform the long-term health of your teeth and gums.
